The Müller Kleinkunst Christmas pyramid with Erzgebirge motif, 5 - tiered: A work of art, that tells stories
This beautiful Christmas pyramid from Müller Kleinkunst from Seiffen is one of the showpieces of the family manufactory. The ring body joined to the crown at the top of the Christmas pyramid is the trademark of the excellent company. On five floors is told about the life of the Erzgebirger, which was once heavy and hard. The 5-story Christmas pyramid is not only a decorative element, but also tells about the historical living conditions in the Ore Mountains. On the different floors you can find lovingly depicted scenes from everyday life of that time - from typical Ore Mountain buildings to sheep herders.
The Christmas pyramid shows life in the Ore Mountains
Because of the vast, deep and dense forests, wood played the greatest role in their lives. It was used for mining, for firing and as a leisure activity such as carving. Goats, sheep and cows also provided for their livelihood.Starting on the lowest floor, the pyramid shows typical Ore Mountain buildings such as two miners' houses and a hoop lathe with water wheel. In their former form, these buildings can be visited today in the open-air museum of Seiffen. On the second floor, deer graze peacefully in a forest clearing. The forester makes sure there is enough food in the crib in winter.
Arduous work in the former Erzgebirge forest
The arduous work of the forest people is depicted on the third floor. Almost every piece of wood was collected and carried home on the back. Also the fruits of the forest such as mushrooms and berries found their way into the baskets of the hardworking women. Important were also the many shepherds, so the lawns were kept short and the milk was processed into cheese. The wool spun the women in the "Hutzenstuben", where they all sat together in the evening. On the fourth platform therefore turns on the disc a shepherd with his flock. With Ringelbäumchen on the last floor is the Erzgebirge forest, which secured the people their livelihood, symbolically represented.
Christmas pyramid Erzgebirge motif with electric drive: A play of light and shadow
The pyramid is electrically illuminated and driven by a silent synchronous gear motor. Stylized fences on each platform, like the crown below the impeller, are design elements, that resemble the Dresden Zwinger. The use of fine exquisite woods skillfully sets accents.
With 3 electric fluted candles on each of the first and third floors, this Christmas pyramid provides a Christmas flair, yet throws the impeller when moving a fascinating light- and shadow play on the ceiling and walls. With this particularly expressive 71 cm high Christmas decoration you set a piece of Erzgebirge artfully in scene and also you will have year after year your pleasure.
