Depending on the number of daughters and sons, the figures were placed with candles in the windows of the small Erzgebirge houses during Advent - and Christmas time, so that everyone knew, how many people lived inside. They were supposed to prevent accidents and bring light into the dark season. The toy manufacturer Tino Günther produces angels and miners as Christmas tree decorations. The couple can decorate the Christmas tree or Christmas bush on small golden threads. The figures are approx. 7 cm and are brightly hand - painted with selected colors and varnishes in filigree work. The angel wears his typical white dress with a printed apron. Two red wings stick out at the back. In his hands, the angel holds white candles with yellow flames. The miner looks on with a proud face. The classic miners' uniform consists of the green shaft hat, a black jacket and white trousers. He is also carrying two candles. The angel and miner are only available as a set.
